If you could put into a bottle what is going on in the Des Moines tech/creative community, this is it. Defintely check this out (and if you do go, take some pix and give us a summary so we can post after the event):
Ready for the next dose of Design+Tech? It's happening Wednesday, July 6 at 7 p.m. This month's topic: "What the Hell is User Experience?"
User Experience is all about focusing on your users and how they interact with something you've created.
We are going to introduce and break down what User Experience (UX) means and how it affects us all in our everyday lives. You'll walk away feeling more confident about attacking your next project and able to pinpoint problems during the process. I guarantee once you start realizing the importance of UX, you'll never forget it.
This will be a great meeting for everyone: designers, writers, managers, programmers, project managers, marketing coordinators, developers and anyone else involved in building and designing things. UX goes way beyond websites and apps.
Spread the word.
